Basic Dosing Guide

The effects of using plant medicines can be influenced by many things such as personal tolerances, mood, empty vs full stomach or even the phase of the moon.

Below is a basic dosing schedule you can reference.

Microdose 0.05-0.25g: Done every other day, 2 days on 2 off or 4 days on 3 off.  You should not feel any euphoric effects at all and function like any normal day except feeling lighter and easier with an elevated mood.

Creative/Museum dose 0.5-0.75g: At this dose you can enter a "flow state" increasing creativity.  If you play instruments, are an artist or craftsman or even practice Jiujitsu, this dose will enhance your interest.

Recreational Dose 1-3.5g: This is the typical recreational dose of medicine traditionally used attending concerts or enjoying a         walk in nature. Please be advised that you will be impaired and selecting a safe environment with support is advised.

Therapeutic Dose 4-5g: At this dose personal work for depression, anxiety, substance abuse and personal development can happen WITH the support of an experienced facilitator.  It is not advised to take solo.

Hero's Journey 5g+: This dose is for the experienced psychonaught.  This is where you meet the aliens.  Not for the faint of heart

This dosage schedule is just a reference guide.  Experiences can vary from person to person.

Helpful Tips for Optimal Benefits

  • Try to take your dose  on an empty stomach.
  • It usually takes around 30 minutes to an hour to kick in, so hang tight before deciding to take more if you’re not feeling it yet.
  • Eat clean and treat your body right for a few days prior to taking your journey. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, sugar and seed oils if possible. The medicine likes a healthy body!
  • In general your trip will last around 4-5 hours so plan accordingly.
  •  It's a good idea to have a friend, or someone to support you nearby .For a therapeutic or hero's journey we strongly recommend an experienced facilitator.
  • Take a moment to set an intention for your journey. Keep it positive—something like, "I want to be kinder to others" works better than, "I want to stop being a jerk." Say your goal, let it go, and let things unfold naturally. Trust the process; it’ll guide you where you need to go.
  • After your trip is over you may want to journal some notes of any feelings, thoughts, realizations etc that occurred.
  • If you can plan a rest/self care day after your experience that can help with your integration process.
  • If difficult things come up reach out for support from a  trusted friend, loved one, or therapist.
